I have been racing Supermoto since I was 17 (2005). I quit racing in 2018 but kind of got back to it (a bit) after relocating to Sweden in 2021. So I bought a used 2019 Husqvarna FC 450 motocross bike and turned it into a Supermoto race bike. It received the usual upgrades like a new suspension setup, 17″ rims with slick tyres, a larger front brake, and hand protectors. But as I had been growing sick of the ever so flashy “racing” look I was seeing every day at work, I decided to build this bike in my preferred look: old! So the goal was to make a modern bike resemble the old 1960s race bikes. Raw materials and no flashy colours. I created a graphic kit that reminds you of a WWII fighter plane, gave it an “aluminum” texture, and it was printed on a chrome material laminated in matte and applied to grey fairing parts. All the brand logos used on the bike are the original older versions from the 70s. The raw metal look was combined with warm leather colours to make sure it is clear which era this bike belongs to. To complete the look, I created a leather suit in unusual (today) colours matching the bike and aimed at that era. This was actually the 9th Supermoto bike I had built and definitely the one with the most outstanding looks.
