Vespa
PX 200 1989

Before I started building custom bikes, I was into scooters since I was 16. This Vespa PX200 from 1989 was actually the third one I had built. I bought it rather cheap in 2015 with a broken engine. The engine was completely rebuilt by a good friend of mine with high-end racing parts. I did all the bodywork, paint, and further modifications. At first the idea was to create a rat scooter with matte grey paint that would be sanded down and rusted on purpose. But as I saw the result of the flawless grey color — I could not destroy it and so I kept it matte grey. As it now had around 35 hp instead of 12, the “Pocket Rocket” was upgraded with an updated suspension and brake system. It was amazing how it drove, it was almost like a small motorcycle rather than a scooter — and pretty amazing 2-stroke sound 😀 I drove it for around two years and then it was sold to a Vespa collector.
